She also won the prestigious Francis MacManus award for her acclaimed collection
of short stories. Terry also contributes a weekly column to The Irish Examiner
and is one of Ireland's most popular speakers.
Ira
Socol
is the author of A Certain Place of Dreams, a collection of micro fiction set in
and around the city of Derry. He currently lives in Michigan, where he teaches
at Michigan State University and works with students with learning disabilities.
Gerard
MacManus
has been a soldier in both the Irish and US Army, before becoming a homicide detective
in Atlanta and then a vice cop in Florida. During his career he has seen riots,
the horrors of child murder, and had been accused of killing another police officer.
Gerard writes about those experiences in his newest book, Dark Corners.
