Trace Literary Agency<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 represents both fiction and non-fiction writers. We are looking for established as well as first time authors in a wide range of genres. Though our focus has been mainly with Irish writers, we are interested in hearing from all.<\/p>\n

If you are interested in submitting your work for consideration, please send an email including author biography, a one to three page synopsis, with word count of your manuscript. \u00a0Please note we do not accept screenplays or short stories.<\/p>\n

We will advise you if we wish to receive sample chapters and you can send these via email or in hard copy.\u00a0We are very careful<\/strong><\/span> with all work we receive, however, we cannot be held responsible for damage or loss whether it be on our part or that of the US Postal Service. With that in mind, please keep the original and send us a copy.<\/p>\n

Literary Agent Tips for Submission<\/h1>\n

Include an introductory email, ensuring you are articulate, to the point and professional. Typos are not a good way to get my attention.\u00a0Please include details of the work you are submitting, stating the genre and intended readership. If your work is of a similar genre to a well known author, please state this.<\/p>\n

Also include a short blurb. This is your chance to pitch your story to me, so make sure that it is compelling. Take a look at the blurbs of bestselling books in your particular genre for ideas on how to write your own.<\/p>\n

Include a little bit about yourself, in particular any key points that relate to your writing.<\/p>\n
