Jenny Pletcher Nolan is the author of Bearing Up Horseshoes. The novel is currently out on submission.

This is the delightful story of Emma Phend and the summer she spends with her great grandmother, Lydia, in Kiawah and Johns Islands, South Carolina. Following the untimely death of her mother, she and her brothers set out with their father to visit their maternal family in the Low country.

There is a theme of healing that comes out in this book with a spiritual message.

Jenny has combined some of her own life experiences with an amazing gift of storytelling to create a fictional novel that is beautiful, authentic and a real treasure.

Ms. Nolan is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington and is a frequent visitor to South Carolina’s Low country. She lives in Elkhart, Indiana with her husband and four children.

She is currently working on her second novel which delves further into the lives of some of the characters created for Bearing Up Horseshoes.
